Top level tasks for setting up EPF and EPB

  • Configure Enterprise Performance Foundation Set the unique index and processing key for the Balances table, and update the display names for the dimensions.   
     

  • Configure the General Ledger Direct Integration Assign the ledger to the ledger group, and create dimension rules, hierarchy rules, and balance rules.   
     

  • Load the metadata and balances from General Ledger to Enterprise Performance Foundation Run the dimension rules, hierarchy rules, and balance rules.   
     

  • Configure Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Refresh the dimension information into Enterprise Planning and Budgeting, set the current time, set up security.   
     

  • Create business processes in Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Define a business process to load the data from Actuals, stating the data model, solve, tasks, and schedule. Initiate the business process run to load the data into the Enterprise Planning and Budgeting analytic workspace and perform the aggregations and any calculations. Define business processes for the budget collection and data entry. Define layout for worksheets, distribute to data owners.   

  • Create reports in Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Create reports in Enterprise Planning and Budgeting using the Actuals view and the Budget view.
