This short Article shows the basic Installation steps in installing OBIEE on your windows PC.
Pre-requisite
Computer with Windows (Home Basic) ,RAM 2GB, HDD approx 80 GB
JDK 1.5 installed and JAVA_HOME created.

    dear sir,

    i have already install obiee succesfuly? ihave also connect to a 10g database via odbc succesfully.

    now when im adding the new database name to the config file the bi server goes down. errors

    #star = paint .rpd
    star = tanesco.rpd

    when i add the new database n restart the machine im getting errors no rpository found.

    I am doing OBIEE install for PeopleSoft EPM database 8.9 release. The OBIEE server component is installed on Unix server while the OBIEE presentation service is installed over Windows server.

    I have EPM database ruining over Oracle 10G/Solaris. When I am trying to login into OBIEE server http://localhost:9704/analytics I am able to login to BI server. I wanted to connect OBIEE with my EPM database.

    Can you please provide me some steps on connecting OBIEE with PeopleSoft EPM database. Thanks for your help.

    Open your repository file in Admin, edit the connection pool and add the user and connection details for the EPM database. Enter the password and then try to update the row count on any of the EPM tables
