Google’s AJAX Toolkit

It always amazes me how Google comes up with simple solutions to complex problem again and again. This time they have delivered a free toolkit which allows Java developers to create AJAX applications. Rather than providing XML, Javascript, JSP and all the server based jargon stuff development framework, I like this idea very much. In a nutshell, its sweet and simple. All you need to do is create as if developing a Java application and then the tools in the toolkit will help convert the Java application to AJAX.   Here is the sample of widgets supported http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/documentation/examples/kitchensink/demo.html#Info It has quite a number of layout options similar to Java including BorderLayout. It would be cool if they could add support for MDI frames similar to JInternalFrames in Java. Here is the Toolkit Details
